So when Jumanji came out in 1955 its star Robin Williams was at the peak of his box office powers. Mrs. Doubtfire had charmed audiences two year before and with a little help from his blue genie, Aladdin became known fast in 1992. Jumanji was also no different and became a massive global hit. Now, 22 years later, Jumanji is finally back with what could be an sequel.
I present to you : Jumanji (0. 2) "WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE"(yes, there are fun and games) So what I heard from other people is that it seems to have or follow the same plot as the original, but with a modern twist. This time the titular board game has evolved into a Sega-like game console, complete with retro video cartridge. It all starts with four teenagers who accidentally discover the game while in detention and are sucked in its jungle transforming into their chosen adult avatars who each have a wide variety of really unique strengths like for one (dance-fighting) and weakness's like (cake). It was also said that their goal was to escape Jumanji, and also save the virtual world from a curse inflicted by an evil explorer, played by Bobby Cannavadale. Each heros avatar functions differently compared to their real life persona. Muscled jock fridge becomes zoologist Moose Finbar (Kevin Hart); academic whizz Bethany turns into kick-ass Ruby Roundhouse (Karen Gillan); geeky Spencer is Dr Smolder Bravestone (The Rock) and popular girl Martha becomes a podgy, middle aged nerd (Jack Black's Map Expert Shelly Oberon). I just can not wait to see the movie. |
